Welcome everyone! For those who are new, my name is Shannon and I started this blog to record my travels during my year of reflection. I am now continuing it during my summer vacation! I am an elementary school educator who recently finished my 14 year in the classroom.

This blow started when I found myself at a crossroads in my career. I had recently finished a leadership program and was contemplating leaving the classroom but wasn’t quite sure yet. So I decided to take advantage of an opportunity and privilege I have and took a year leave of absence. All of this before COVID-19 really altered our lives and view points. With plans already in the works, I chose to take a leap of faith anyways and bought my Winnebago Solis. Four years later I am still in the classroom but have moved states (MA-VT), moved grades (4th-1st), and just finished the hardest, most challenging year of my career.

This summer is a chance for my to reset, heal, and spend time with my parents. This is our second RV trip together and I am so grateful for the time. So, if you’d like to know what they are up to, you can click on their tab at the top.
